Honeymoonseastudio is us, Hannah & Benedict Maurice and our dog Hughie.

We live, voyage and create on our magical sailboat HONEYMOON and amongst the trees on Aotea. Inspired by our life close to the elements, we live as lightly as possible.

Hannah (née Melville) is a painter and céramiste who studied at Elam, COFA and St-Quentin-la-Poterie. Born in and raised Devonport, Aotearoa she lived for 16 years in the south of France. Hannah is inspired by the magical traditions of humankind and the flora and fauna of the Earth. Hannah has exhibited in dealer and public galleries.

Benedict qualified as a designer earlier in the century, also child of Tāmaki Makaurau and the seaside village of Devonport, he lived across the Tasman for many moons and is now home sailing and creating with his wife. Benedict forages natural elements, he recycles pearls and metals, he uses solar energy and his skills as a master maker to create unique jewellery pieces, art objects and sculptural works infused with nature energies.
